Josh Gattis is headed back to the Big Ten.

Gattis, Alabamaa€™s co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, is leaving the Crimson Tide and taking over as Jim Harbaugha€™s offensive coordinator at Michigan, according to a report from The Athletic.

Gattis had joined the Tide staff last January after four years as the wide receivers coach at Penn State.

a€œJosh is a very good coach," Nick Saban said in October. a€œHea€™s a very bright guy. Hea€™s been in some good systems. He has a good understanding of the big picture offensively. Hea€™s very technical in terms of how he coaches and teaches his players and they have a good understanding. He has a really good personality. But hea€™s also demanding. He can confront and demand guys when theya€™re not doing things the way theya€™re supposed to do them and I think thata€™s created a lot of consistency in our receivers and ita€™s also improved their toughness and their mental toughness to sustain.a€

Gattis leaving means Alabama will have a different wide receivers coach for the fourth straight year.
