Michigan StateA footballA running back LJ Scott encountered more problems with his driving last month.

The senior was cited by Meridian Township Police on Sept. 29 for making an improper turn, operating a vehicle without a valid plate and driving without proof of insurance, according to 55th District Court records.

Scott paid $400 in court costs on Tuesday for the three infractions, according to court records.

The 22-year-old from Hubbard, Ohio, suited up but did not play against Central Michigan the afternoon of his traffic stop. Scott has missed the Spartansa€™ last three games after suffering an ankle injury Sept. 8 at Arizona State. He decided in December to return to MSU for his final season and bypass the NFL draft.

MSU spokesman Ben Phlegar on Wednesday morning said Scott remains with the football program. His availability for Saturday's game at Penn State (3:30 p.m., Big Ten network) remains unclear.

A year ago, Scott was arrested Oct. 18, 2017, and charged in East Lansinga€™s 54B District Court with his seventh infraction of driving on a suspended license. He reached a plea agreement in that case and received a ticket for an equipment violation, as well as $115 fine and other costs. He also received a six-month deferred statement, which expired in May, that required him to have a clean driving record.
