Former Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and former vice president Gary Schultz each pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of child endangerment on Monday, according to the Associated Press. The charge stems from their role in the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case.

Curley and Schultz pleaded guilty in a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, courtroom. The charges against them carry a maximum fine of $10,000 and up to five years in prison. There is no word on what kind of sentence, if any, either will face following their guilty pleas.

Former Penn State president Graham Spanier is also charged in the case but was not present in court on Monday.

Curley, Schultz and Spanier handled a complaint from former Penn State graduate assistant Mike McQueary in 2001. McQueary told the three that he witnessed Sandusky, then a former Penn State defensive coordinator, sexually abusing a boy in the team shower.
